Most circa 20 x 29 cm. Each mounted to original board (4 with photographer's blindstamp below image on mount) in modern brown canvas box with text documentation. The images in this group were taken in the Kiel harbor between 1866 - 1890. They show the ironclad warships Friedrich Carl c. 1871-72, König Wilhelm c. 1869, Preußen 1884, Deutschland; the corvettes Oldenburg , Sachsen , Irene and the Imperial yacht Hohenzollern as well as several squadrons in the harbor. An exceptional image shows the staff of Friedrich Carl on deck. – A few prints faded, some with surface scuff marks, some buckling from glue, otherwise most in very good condition.
