Original red cloth, blocked in gilt and blind (spine largely lacking, extremities rubbed). Provenance : Woodward's Gardens (early ink ownership stamp on title and elsewhere). Rare views of scenes in and around Amritsar and Lahore. Abbey Travel 483 speculates that the work may have been privately published, the artist being "the wife of an Officer in the Queen's service now with his regiment in India".
