II de regimine iter agentium [by G. Gratarolus]. Quibus accesserunt in fine Quaestiones Forcianae: hoc est, de variis Italorum ingeniis: & de muleribus sexus praestantia, dialogi II [By Philalethes Polytopiensis, i.e. Ortensio Landi]. [Nuremburg: Katharina Gerlach], 1591. 12°. Title and three divisional titles all with woodcut border and typographical ornament. Folding letterpress table. (Lacking final leaf P4?) 19th-century calf (upper joints cracked), g.e. Provenance : "No. 40" "Hamilton Palace Copy" (purchaser's pencil note beside accession number in ink); Henry J. B. Clements (armorial bookplate). FIRST EDITION. SILVAGIUS, Matthaeus. Opus ... de tribus peregrinis seu de colloquijs trium peregrinorum: de divinis perfectionibus: de philosophia sancto, de partibus mundi, climatibus, linguis & populis, civitiatibus & conditoribus.... Venice: Francesco di Alessandro Bindoni et Mapheo Pasini, November 1542. 8°. Title within woodcut border, woodcut illustrations and initials, printer's device to verso of final text leaf, with the final blank. (One word to title erased and supplied in manuscript, inner margin of title strengthened, light waterstaining.) Contemporary vellum, manuscript title to spine. Adams S1141. REUSNER, Nicolaus. Hodoeporicorõ siue itinerum ferè orbis lib. VII. Opus historicum, ethicum, physicum, geographicum olim collectum, nunc demum Ieremiae Reusneri fratris editum. Basle: Petrus Perna, 1580. 8°. With blanks Y 7 - 8 . (Repaired tear to foot of title, light browning.) Contemporary blind-stamped pigskin over wooden boards with clasps (spine rubbed and lacking labels once present).
