QQThe valuable mint/unused and used accumulation of Iceland 1873-1930 , comprising duplicate and residual material from the collection formed by Sir Athelstan Caroe. There is considerable duplication of most pre-1920 definitive and Official values including the "Skilling" issues which gives tremendous scope for future study, later issues include some mint multiples, minor nvarieties and the 1930 Parliamentary Millenary Official issue 3a. to 10kr. (with Air 10a.), also Postal Stationery items unused (over 50). The bulk is arranged on stockcards to which some original gum items have adhered and as is to be expected of such a residue many scarce items have faults, some of a serious nature, nevertheless an interesting assembly worthy of close inspection.
