WWII cipher machine "Hagelin Converter", portable OSS type M-209-B Converter Signal Corps. Used in the field to encrypt and decrypt messages and provide a high degree of security when operators are fully versed in the necessity of strict compliance with security measures. The code was changed each day by selecting a different setting for the rotors.
