Description: Rare Axis Forces German Made Yugoslavian Diplomatic Officials Dress Dagger, fine example retaining its original white celluloid grip with wire binding. Fine quality gilt brass top pommel and cross guard with press stud button release to the reverse. Housed in its original gilt brass scabbard with knotted rope pattern scabbard ring mounts and white metal double headed eagle insignia to the centre. Fine double edged polished blade with foliage and ciphers. The blade is not marked but these were often made by the German dagger producer Alcoso, Solingen. Dagger is accompanied by its scarce original leather hanging straps with brass mounts. Blade measures 24cms, overall 40 ½ cms. Categories: WW2 German Militaria
