A miniature playing card with black dots for the suit marks appears in the upper right corner of each card. The name of the team, player's name, position played, and playing card value are as follows: Boston , Hornung, Left Fielder, 8, Morrill, First Baseman, jack, Chicago , Sullivan, Left Fielder, 8, Van Haltern, Pitcher, king, Flint, Catcher, ace, Detroit , White, Third Baseman, 9, Twitchell, Left Fielder, 8, Getzein, Pitcher, king, New York , Connor, First Baseman, jack, Philadelphia , Clements, Catcher, ace, Casey, Pitcher, king, Bastian, Second Baseman, 10, Wood, Left Fielder, 8, Fogarty, Right Fielder, 6. The 36-card packs had no 2s, 3s, 4s or 5s, consistent with the card game of Jass popular in Switzerland and Austria, and early versions of Piquet with French suits. However, there is no reason to suggest the decks were published with 36 cards for Jass or Piquet, rather, the two packs of 36 cards probably derives from eight teams with nine players. Cards are protected in individual plastic holders and framed as a set, the back of the frame is hinged. Card size 3½ in. (10.1 cm.) high, 2½ in. (6.1 cm.) wide, Frame size 28 in. (70.5 cm.) high, 20 in. (49 cm.) wide. Slightly worn.
