Description: Rare WW2 Period Special Air Service (S.A.S) Beret, very good example of a late WW2 period Special Air Service (S.A.S) troopers beret, the beige beret has original late WW2 pattern embroidered winged dagger insignia with motto “Who Dares Wins” to the centre. Brown leather trim which has cracked and worn. Original black cloth lined interior with rectangular leather patch sewn over the side gromets. The lining has typical loose stitching which is a common feature of wartime issue berets. Top of the beret has typical weave pattern. The beret does have scattered mothing and obvious service wear but still a very good example. Categories: Headdress
