Lot of 40 photographs of performers, sideshow acts, unique characters, musicians, and more, comprised of 39 cabinet cards/cabinet card-sized photographs and a single CDV, which depicts R. McChesney, "the Mohawk Dutchman," copyrighted 1876 by M'Chesney, Philadelphia. Featuring the following highlighted cabinet cards: Six photographs credited to Charles Eisenmann, New York, featuring "Millie Owens, Queen of Long Hair," as per penciled inscription on verso; little people, including Major Atom; a tattooed man; a fat lady; and more. Cabinet card of "The Original and Only Living Man with a Dog's Head," identified as "JoJo" on verso, with credit to Harrie Rose, Indianapolis, IN. Seven portraits of little people, including the Adams Sisters of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, credited to Ollivier, NY; two views with subjects identified as Admiral Dot, including a view of the performer with his wife credited to Steinberg, NY; uncredited view of "Little Lord Robert"; and Count and Countess Magri with Baron Magri credited to Sword's Bros., York, PA. Cabinet card by Wendt, Boonton, NJ, of a young "Giantess," identified on verso as "Cleve Gill, (?) Canadian Giantess." Four photographs of tattooed ladies, one subject identified as "Miss Annie Howard American Tattooed Lady," and credited to Rich, Chicago, IL. Three photographs of fat ladies and a man, who is identified on the mount as "Indiana's Fat Boy Chauncey Morlan," by Harrie Rose, Indianapolis, IN. Two photographs of strong people, the first showing a man posed with 3257 lbs of people on his back, identified on mount as "George Levasseur, Champion back lifter of the World, Originator of this act," credited to Frank Wendt, Boonton, NJ; and an unidentified strong woman holding a barbell and surrounded by several weights, credited to Kern Bros., NY. Five photographs of women with very long hair, one portrait showing a large group of seven long-haired women posed with a gentleman in a studio setting, verso credit to M. Nowack's Gallery, Minneapolis. Two photographs of female entertainers including "Zumiga (?) the Egyptian, " by Rich, Chicago; and "Miss Za Zel / Snake Charmer," by Wilson, Chicago. Additional cabinet cards of costumed performers, musicians, and more. Condition: Range in condition, with light to heavier toning. Some with soiling/scattered spotting. Some with corner and edge wear.
