.44 caliber, 8" octagonal barrel, serial number 95458, top of barrel stamped Patented Sept. 14, 1858./ E. Remington and Sons, Ilion, New York, USA /New-Model. Walnut grips and brass trigger guard. The entire revolver is covered with sub-inspector's marks. Condition: Entire revolver and cylinder has ca 60% original blue, but thinning. Trigger guard's brass is shiny on the bottom with a light patina on sides of trigger guard. No inspector's cartouches on grips. Cartouche has been sanded off. Grips are nice and dark with a little oil finish remaining. Grips are not numbered to the gun.
