ROBERT CANTON, MULLORD BROS and OTHERS An embossed and pierced paperlace valentine card, marked Canton, London E.C with large chromolithographic centre of a beautiful lady, surrounded by flowers, border of gilt embossing, verse reads 'Wisdom looks forth from those bright eyes' - 5 x 7¾in., circa 1870 ; a gilt embossed and pierced paperlace valentine card, stamp marked Mullord Bros , applied with floral and cupid scraps, the centre with printed verse on silk 'Sweet Girl./If every rose with/gold were tied,/Did gems from dew-/drops fall,....' , surrounded by gilt embossed oval frame, inside hand-written message 'Good morrow Valentine' - 4½ x 7in., circa 1850 ; two others similar with gilt embossing, chromolithographic floral centres, applied scraps, both with hand written message inside 'With much love Good morrow Valentine' - 4½ x 7in., circa 1850 (4)
