ROLLING STONES & MUSICAL INTEREST, 1960s-1980s A large group of press and promotional photographs related to musicians of the 1960s-1980s, comprising: silver gelatin prints by Michael Putland for London Features International Ltd (5), each measuring approx. 40.5 x 29cm (or the reverse) with the photographer's stamp verso, depicting Mick Jagger performing at Knebworth, UK, 1976; vintage press print (1) measuring 21 x 25.5cm depicting the 'New' Rolling Stones,1969, with the original Barratt's typed caption affixed to verso reading, "New Rolling Stone: Mick Taylor, has been chosen to replace Brian Jones in one of the World's top pop groups 'The Rolling Stones' / He was introduced to the Press at a reception this afternoon"; silver gelatin copy press prints (35) by various photographers (uncredited), twenty measuring 20.5 x 26cm (or the reverse) and fifteen measuring 16.5 x 21.5 (or the reverse), depicting the Rolling Stones through the years; and promotional photographs of various musicians, many published by record labels (30), including portraits of Les Paul, David T Walker, Janis Ian, Paco Pena, Carolyne Mas, Mick Taylor, JJ Cale, Patti Smith Jose Feliciano, Fred Noad, John Williams John Denver, Manitas de Plata, and others, most measuring 22 x 17cm, some with record label information printed recto, others with caption labels and stamps verso.
