(Some soiling to title, some dampstaining to text and plates.) 20th-century crimson half morocco (some rubbing at edges). A monumental funeral in honor of JOHN V (1689-1750), King of Portugal, celebrated 24 May 1751 at the Protuguese Church in Rome. The large plates represent the façade and the interior decorations for the occasion, including 16 tableaus of events from the King's life and a groundplan.
