Wells' work, published before the Ashes Series began, sets the scene for the coming "battle". Ted Dexter is shown carrying a sack marked "Bag for them Ashes & Kanga"rue" "Tale" Soup", "Benno" and "Davo" are seen arriving with crates of ducks. Fred Trueman and Brian Statham are shown looking to pass Lindwall's and A.Bedser's Test wicket records and Tony Lock is is shown wondering why he missed out on selection. A very fine example of Wells' work.
