Title-page with MINIATURE PORTRAIT OF ELIZABETH BROWNING AND ROBERT BROWNING (both initial-signed by Sangorski and dated 1928) surrounded by a gilt-floral border in colors incorporating title in red and blue, with large illuminated initial S 2 FULL-PAGE MINIATURES, 8 OTHER SMALLER MINIATURES INCORPORATED INTO DECORATIVE BORDERS (some initial-signed by Sangorski), 18 OTHER LARGE ILLUMINATED INITIALS IN COLORS WITH FULL OR PARTIAL BORDERS IN COLORS ON A PUNCHED AND RULED GROUND OF BURNISHED GOLD, most with penwork tracery and extensions. A JEWELLED BINDING SET WITH 8 JEWELS, BY RIVIERE AND SON, blue morocco elaborately gilt, with small boder of inlaid black morocco, surrounding a wider border of red and blue morocco composed of inlaid morocco dots, stapwork and floral designs, richly gilt, all corners and centers of the border with 8 floral designs in white morocco inlays and with central red stone, surrounding a cenral heart shaped design in red, blue and brown morocco of a lyrE and the gilt lettered author's names, lower cover with central arabesque strapwork design on a pointelle ground and richly decorated wide border to a matching design of the upper cover, spine in six compartments, gilt lettered in two, doublures of blue, black, white and red morocco, with a large central panel of blue morocco with an all over gilt design with white and red floral morocco inlays, stamp-signed on the front turn-in: "Bound by Riviere & Son," silk linings; black morocco silk-lined clamshell case.
