FIRST EDITION OF THE FIRST PRINTED BOOK ON TENNIS with woodcuts depicting equipment and the lay-out of the court, including the court at the Louvre. Scaino, philosopher at the Court of Ferrara, began his treatise at the instigation of his patron Alfonso d'Este after discussing the awarding of a point played at one of d'Este's six courts.
