II severely stained, mainly marginal soiling and staining elsewhere, crushed fly on M2 R of vol. III), contemporary polished calf, gilt and blind decoration (rubbed, joints cracked). Proveance : James Cross, early ownership inscription. FIRST EDITION. II, margins thumb-soiled, isolated spotting), contemporary polished calf uniform with the previous novel (extremities worn). FIRST EDITION. With 6 other novels by Walter Scott in a total of 20 volumes, a fourth edition of Marmion (Edinburgh, 1808) in attractive contemporary straight-grained green morocco binding, and one other volume of verse by Scott.
