Halachic ruling regarding dispute in which R’ Liber’s orphans were involved. 1755. Signed, “Yirmiyahu of Konitz, who dwells in Roistitz and whose net is spread over Leipnik and its suburbs. Rabbi Liber P. (Politz?) is mentioned in ruling, and the name Leizer Politz is signed at end. Rabbi Yirmiya ben HaRav Elyakim Getshlik Vonifrieden(Otzar 11580), Rabbi of Roistitz and later of Leipnik, died in Leipnik in 1766. He is mentioned in volume “Gdulat Yonatan” under list of Rabbi Yonatan Eibeschutz’s diciples and followers. (List entitled Rabbis of Konitz.) These three cities were at that time among the most prominent Jewish communities in country of Moravia. See “Takanot Mehrin”. In the Book “Luhot Edut”, Altona, there is mention of the excommunication made in Roistitz against opposers of Rabbi Yonatan Eibeschutz.
