This is the first children's book written and illustrated by Tom Freud, when she was 22 years old, prior to leaving Berlin and prior to her marriage with Jacob Seidmann. During the period when this book was published, Freud led with her older sister Lily, entertainment evenings for children where they read folk stories and songs and screened slides of Tom's paintings.
