Spice container. [Eastern Europe, second half of 19th century]. Silver, cast, repoussé, engraved and soldered. A container designed as an Etrog (Citron), with engraved leaves, flowers and citrus buds. On top of the container is a lid with a handle shaped as a blossom-end. The lid is chained to the container. The container stands on three rounded legs, encircled with a small ring and resting on another ring, larger. Height: approx. 15.5 cm. Good condition. Some stains and bends.
