Sports, Bombay Presidency Olympic Games, Sonavala Trust Medal, c. 1920, a bronze award, unsigned, for the Bombay Presidency Olympic Association, arms on flaming mantle, Olympic rings below, rev. alarakhia rahimtula, etc., un-named, 39mm (Pudd. I, –; cf. Album 29, 1881). About extremely fine, rare; with clip, ring and orange riband, on card with typed inscription ‘Bombay Presidency Olympic Association, Individual Championship, Runner up, Mr W.W. Godwin’ £60-£80 Footnote The Bombay Presidency Olympic Association was established by Sir Dorabji Tata (1859-1932), scion of the Tata industrial empire, whose passion for sport led him to fund three places for Indians at the Antwerp Games in 1920 and then the entire Indian team at the Paris Olympics of 1924, at which his wife competed in the ladies tennis doubles
