Both Spotted Horse and White Wolf are mentioned in Annual Report of the Commissioner of Indian Affairs in 1862. "White Wolf says that no Arapahoes will join the war against the whites," says the report. A Mr. Gerry "furnished" a passport to Spotted Horse so that he could help him retrieve their stolen horses from hostile American Indians (237).Â
