Stan Laurel A collection of items presented to Stan and Ida Laurel on the occasion of the filming of This Is Your Life , 1954, comprising: a pair of gilt metal cufflinks, one engraved May 1946 , the other June 1890 , each decorated with a small diamond on a specific day of the month, in a presentation box gilt-stamped on the lid "This Is Your Life", Stan Laurel ; accompanied by a 14K chain with several charms, the majority 14K gold, representing key moments in Stan Laurel's life, including: a map of England, engraved Arthur Stanley Jefferson 6-16-90 ; a school building, engraved on the base Bishop Auckland School ; a statue of Liberty; a movie camera; a Cuckoo clock engraved Dance Of The Cuckoos ; a bride and groom in circular medallion embellished with three rubies and two sapphires (one replaced with an imitation stone), the medallion engraved on the reverse with Stan and Ida's wedding date May 5, 1946 ; a crown with plaque engraved Royal Command Variety Performance, 1948 ; a plaque engraved This Is Your Life, 19 December, 1954 , with diamond inset; and various medallions engraved with the dates and locations of key performances in Stan Laurel's life; and a tribute in black ink Laurel And Hardy by Leo McCarey...This Is Your Life, December 1, 1954 -- 19x15in.
