Tiny paper losses to spine ends, 1/4" split to bottom spine, spine stress, fine creases to corners, light bindery crease parallel to bottom edge of front cover, some toning to edges of back cover, pencilled reseller's price to back cover ("15.00 Rulah"). Nice and flat, color covers bright. Off-white pages, cream edges. Stories and art: Iger Studio talent. Ruth Roche, editor. Overstreet: "Bondage cover." GPAnalysis: A 5.0 sold for $216 in 6/19; more recently, a 4.5 sold for $273 in 10/21, and a 5.5 sold for $400 in 11/22. Crazy cover featuring a blonde babe menaced by a scythe-wielding weirdo. The psychedelic colors and evil hippie vibe give the cover a proto-Underground sensibility. Who else but the crackpots at Ajax-Farrell would think to color a horror comic cover bright pink? Yet the pink cover exerts a strange magic, scrambling the viewer's senses like a psychotropic drug. The weirdness continues under the covers, where fans of horticultural horror will find that "Roses grow better when they have —UGH— human flesh to nourish them!" Also: True love blooms in a tub of acid, where two corpses, stripped to the skeletons, "move closer together until they come to rest in each other's arms! Lovers in death, as once they were in life!"
