A very fine and rare 18K pink gold openface double dial automaton watch Unsigned, circa 1820 With keywound two train movement, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, the glazed back with a painted polychrome enamel scene depicting a classical landscape, surmounted by a vari-coloured gold automaton scene depicting a cooper's yard, one cooper sanding and one hammering while a fountain is running, activated by a sliding lever in the band, in plain circular case with geometrically decorated bezel and rim, unsigned, pendant numbered 10970 54 mm. diam.
