WILLIAM HERBERT DUNTOON (1878-1936), eventually referred to as "Buck", began his professional career like so many other Western artists as an illustrator for magazines. His publications include Harper's Weekly, Collier's and Scribner's. Dunton's fascination with the West was encouraged by his teacher at the Art Student's League, Ernest Blumenschein, who compelled Dunton to move to Taos, New Mexico in 1912. Condition: Not examined out of frame.
