Nuova edizione arrichita di figure in rame, e l'annotazioni colla vita dell'autore , Venice: Antonio Groppo, 1760-61. 2 volumes, 4, engraved frontispiece and portrait by Giacomo Leonardis after Pietro Novelli first title printed in red and black, vignette on titles, 20 plates by Leonardis after Bernardo Castelli, 99 vignettes and culs-de-lampe by Leonardis after Novelli, each chapter with an engraved border round the 'argomento' (lacking half titles, A1 in vol. I stained), contemporary calf gilt (rebacked with old spines relaid). Provenance : "Presented to Ernest Gray, Esq., parliamentary candidate Accrington division, December general election, 1910", booklabel in both volumes. A well-illustrated edition of one of the great Italian classics. Cohen-de-Ricci 980; Morazzoni 256. (2)
