Wright's work was a great success on its original parts publication in 1872-3, and Fulton's Illustrated Book of Pigeons was originally issued as a companion volume, in parts, between 1874 and 1876, while Blakston's work was issued in parts between 1877 and 1880. In 1883 publishers Cassell, Petter, Galpin & Company became Cassell & Company, Limited, suggesting a publication date of 1883 or later for these editions of Fulton and Blakston. (3)
