Place: [Philadelphia] Publisher: [Privately Printed] Date: 1925 Description: 105 pp. Illustrated with plates by Ross Morley, including frontispiece. (8vo) original decorative embossed green cloth. No. 51 of 250 copies. First Edition. Signed by Tillinghast on recto of frontispiece. Additionally inscribed by Tillinghast on the front free endpaper: "To William Solomon with every good wish of A.W. Tillinghast / Harrington Park / July 12th 1931." Tillinghast is one of the greatest American golf architects, designing such courses as Bethpage State Park, Winged Foot, and Baltusrol Golf Club. “By 1915 he was nationally recognized as a leading golf course architect and would go on to design more than 100 courses in his career." -D&J. Lot Amendments Condition: Mild rubbing with a bit of fraying at spine ends, cloth darkened, gilt fading somewhat; leaves toned, some offsetting from frontispiece and signature; very good or better.
