The Olive Branch, or the Miraculous Restauration of Peace, Both to Church & State in Great Britain and Ireland, May 29. 1660, engraved frontispiece with letterpress explanation leaf, small ink mark on frontispiece; The Rod of Recompence or the Hand of Justice. In the Punishment of the Enemies of Church & State by Gods providence and justice brought about after they had by the space of eighteen years afflicted and tormented both, title within typographical border, 2 works in one vol., FIRST EDITIONS, PRESENTATION COPY TO QUEEN HENRIETTA MARIA, inscribed "To the Most Excellent and Illustrous Princesse Henrietta Maria by the Grace of God of England, Scotland, France and Ireland Queen, John Consett Wisheth long lyfe and much content and happinesse heere and joy Eternall herafter" (on front free endpaper within a 2-line rule border), and with the words "which is the constant praier of Your Majesties most humblie devoted servatnt John Consett" added in ink beneath the dedicatory verse to King Charles II in the first work, later ownership inscriptions of James and Christian A. Deane (1692) on rear endpapers, contemporary black morocco gilt, covers with double fillet outer border and inner panel with three feather cornerpieces, g.e., lower cover near detached [Wing C5902A; C5903], small 4to, T.R. for the Author, 1660
