Jacobi, Chiswick Press for Philip Lee Warner for The Medici Society, Ltd [The Riccardi Press Books], 1913. 3 volumes, 4° (265 x 200mm). Titles printed in blue and black. Colour-printed mounted frontispieces and 33 colour-printed mounted plates after Flint, retaining tissue guards titled in red. (Some very light offsetting.) Original limp vellum, titled in gilt on the upper covers and spines, yapp fore-edges, green silk fore-edge ties, top edges gilt, slipcase (short tears on pastedowns and very short splits on hinges). LIMITED TO 512 COPIES, THIS NO. 111 OF 500 ON RICCARDI PAPER. A FINE SET IN THE VELLUM BINDING. The Canterbury Tales was the sixth book in the Riccardi Press illustrated quarto series, printed in 14-point Ricccardi type, and the paper copies were available in two bindings: canvas-backed boards or limp vellum at 7½ or 9 guineas respectively.
