GPAnalysis: A 3.5 sold for $171 in May 2020; a 4.0 sold for $475 in October 2021. "Unseen #15, the last issue of the title, contains 'Date with a Corpse,' yet another version of the man-kissed-to-death story. Dino Monta is a Sicilian gravedigger in love with the beautiful Maria Villardi who, needless to say, dislikes 'everything' about him. Thrashed by her brother, he leaves with a sharp threat: 'As for you, Maria, who refuses my kisses... some day I will kiss you and you will NOT BE ABLE TO STOP ME"... Dino kills Maria by poisoning her wine with strychnine and none of the village citizens can figure out how she died... Dino digs up his diva and invites her to his little bachelor cottage for an evening of wining and dining. Her arms are tight, her body is hard and her lips are cold... but she hugs Dino with a bear's grip: until he strangles in her arms. In the concluding panels, the doctor comes up with an explanation for this particular death: rigor mortis. "Stories like 'Date with a Corpse' lend credence to the cries of would-be censors that comic books in the 1950s had truly deteriorated to the point where 'no subject is left untouched.' While the approach used her isn't particularly graphic and the art is so mediocre that the visual shock value is greatly depreciated, the plot itself is quite perverse. Such stories have a campy value today... But, frankly, I'm not sure I'd want my own eight-year-old to read this kind of material. Would you? — George Suarez, Tales To Terrible To Tell #7.
