With a lithographed testimonial signed in ink by 34 important personages involved in the P.P.I.E.. All enclosed in leather folder lined with silk, with "James Rolph, Jr." in gilt on one of the flaps. Collection of photographs with presentation folder, evidently such folders were given to each of the attendees of a testimonial dinner given for Charles F. Moore, President of the Panama-Pacific International Exposition, by the Directors and Sub-Directors on January 5, 1916, at the Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco. The signatories include the aforementioned Charles C. Moore, San Francisco Mayor James Rolph, Jr., William H. Crocker, Joseph S. Tobin, M.H. de Young, Herbert Fleishbacher, R.A. Crothers, and others. The photographs include views of the Court of the Universe, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Tower of Jewels, and other marvels, many taken at night with spectacular lighting, including a grand fireworks exhibit. Lot Amendments Condition: A little wear to the silk lining of the leather folder, else very good or better, a rare artifact of the P.P.I.E. Item number: 253191
