this archive includes Howard's M1902 Naval sword and scabbard, sword knot and case, belt and sword rig, PLUS painted fitted tin box, with his Chapeau de Bras and Epaulets with silver oak leaves and anchors, PLUS six Presidential appointments including three with actual Presidential autographs, these being two Woodrow Wilson and one Wm. H. Taft, others include Herbert Hoover, Warren G. Harding, and F.D.R., all approximately 16" x 20" on both paper and vellum. This archive also includes the following medals: a rare Mexican Border War Campaign medal with attached ribbon and with miniature medal and attached ribbon and ribbon bar. The medal is numbered on edge 803. Lot also includes WWI Victory medal with attached ribbon and Destroyer bar, as well as the miniature medal with attached ribbon and bar and matching ribbon bar; plus two pair of silver spread-winged eagle collar rank insignia, one with U.S. shield breast and clutching oak leaves; plus 8 domed brass Naval buttons, PLUS 3 military dog-tags; plus brass Hole-In-One Medal Presented By The Makers of Royal Golf Balls; and a group of miscellaneous collar and cuff buttons. Condition: Sword with some oxidation on blade, else all is Excellent.
