THREE CERAMIC INRO EDO-MEIJI PERIOD (19TH CENTURY) The first of three cases of stoneware painted in black and white enamel with a chrysanthemum spray and covered by a clear crackle glaze, signed Kenzan , and fitted with a ceramic double-gourd netsuke glazed green and with a ceramic bead ojime glazed in blue and black stripes; the second of two cases of porcelain decorated in underglaze blue with foliate scroll and fitted with a large, ivory tooth-shaped netsuke and ivory bead ojime ; the last of earthenware in three cases decorated in colored enamels with the Tokaido road stations Shono and Kameyama in landscapes after Hiroshige's print designs of these stations in the series Tokaido gojusan tsugi no uchi (The fifty-three stations of the Tokaido) published by Hoeido, and fitted with an earthenware netsuke enamelled with a temple complex and an earthenware bead ojime --3¼, 3 7/8 and 3 3/8in.
