TIPPING & LAWDEN A CASED .30 (RIMFIRE) FOUR-SHOT DERINGER PISTOL, MODEL 'SHARP'S PATENT', serial no. 1784, circa 1870, with blued 3in. barrel-group, plain brass frame signed 'TIPPING & LAWDEN SHARP'S PATENT' in a circle around the hammer axis screw on the left hand side, centrally mounted blued hammer with rotary auto-indexing nose, smooth walnut grips (one cracked) and long bar push button opener; TOGETHER WITH its mahogany English market storage case with brass shield-shaped escutcheon to the burr-walnut veneered lid, compartmented and lined in blue baize (lid lining renewed) and containing an old 'Sotheby's' label for lot 59, 19 Oct. 1988
