(TRAVEL--EGYPT AND ITALY) A personally compiled and hand-crafted album containing approximately 94 beautiful photographs of the Middle East and Italian art and architecture. The first half of the album contains 50 historic photographs of Egypt, nearly all by Pascal Sébah, with architectural landscape studies of the Pyramids, Sphinxes, and views of the bustling towns, as well as studies of early Egyptian sculpture and an array of studio images portraying local inhabitants. The latter half of the album includes photographs of art and architecture from some of Italy's most renowned museums and collections. Albumen (43) and silver (51) prints, the images measuring approximately 8x10 1/2 inches (20.3x26.7 cm.), some slightly smaller, and the reverse, mounted recto only to cream wove paper. 4to, custom binding with vellum covered boards, a foredge flap, and leather tie.
