Illustrated with 32 mounted lithographic plates, including one uncommon hand-colored plate (Aqueduc de Metelin). Modern three-quarter brown calf over marbled paper-covered boards, dark red calf spine label, stamped in blind and in gilt; 3 1/2 in. repaired closed tear in lower title-page, edges of same lightly worn; spotting to plate table; scattered spotting and darkening in plate edges; several plates trimmed along edges. Scarce atlas volume of this descriptive account of a journey from Odesa to Constantinople and a tour of Egypt, featuring exquisite lithographic views and scenery of Constantinople and Asia Minor, the Greek Archipelago, Egypt and Sinai, and including a hand-colored plate not typically found in other examples.
