Worby & Co., Muzaffarpur and Allahabad, with straight fullered blade (stained and pitted) as for infantry officers' 1892 pattern, bearing etched foliate decoration and royal crown above 'BP' cypher in script, plated 'gothic' hilt, the cartouche containing cypher as on blade, beneath a Queen Victoria crown, wire-bound fishskin grip, and slightly-curved steel scabbard (replated, the plating flaking, mouthpiece missing); the second a civil uniform sword, with straight etched blade (rusted and with areas of slight pitting), regulation pommel and shell (the latter now with applied silver letters 'CSA'), and leather scabbard with brass (probably originally gilt) locket and chape 32¼in. (81.9cm.), and 31½in (80cm.) blades (2)
