TWO SEVRES CUPS AND TWO SAUCERS ( GOBELETS 'LITRON', 2 E M E GRANDEUR ) One cup and saucer with blue interlaced L's enclosing date letter DD for 1781 to the saucer and Z to the cup, painter's mark for Nöel to both, the cup incised 43; on the other cup and associated saucer enclosing date letter KK for 1787, painter's mark possibly for Le Bel and incised 29 to the cup, the painter's mark for Fontaine, incised 29 to the associated saucer The first a cup and saucer painted with a trellis of pink roses and trailing vines enclosed within bands of gilt foliate scrolls, gilt line rims; the second a cup and associated saucer, the cup delicately painted in colors on the yellow ground with an urn of flowers flanked by exotic birds and further fountains, all supported on arabesques and flowering tentrils, the rim with a flowering trailing vine within dark puce lines, the similar saucer with a slightly darker yellow ground and painted with a neo-classic centerpiece of pink roses 5 3/8in.
