Lot of two sixth plate daguerreotypes of similar-looking men in similar poses and in front of the same backdrop. The men resemble each other very much except that one is noticeably fatter, and they both are posed in the same manner, displaying what appears to be a book with a gilt cover design, leading us to believe they are brothers, or perhaps even twins. Both daguerreotypes are housed in full paper and leather cases with floral designs, one of which features the word Amitie. Condition: Very good condition. Portlier brother's with slight tarnishing at mat adges.
