Millard/CLAYVILLE NY". Pommel shows "WEH" inspector marking. Comes with a metal scabbard marked "999" to throat and a non-original leather belt hangar. 2. 24.5" blade length. 30" overall with scabbard and hilt. Item features a one piece cast brass "D" guard and grip with a peened tang. Blade is stamped at ricasso with "{Crown}/{crossed swords}" between "C" and "K" over "Co", the marking for the Carl Kaiser Company. Item is provided with a brass mounted leather scabbard. Condition: 1. Fair. Blade shows numerous bites along length. Blade is a brown patina overall with some spots of gray patina within fullers. Multicolor discoloration 4.5" from tip. Guard shows tarnish overall. Grip is missing leather and wire wrap and has an exposed wood core. Wood grip shows a split running full length on both sides. Scabbard is a brown patina overall with visible brass brazing to interior side where it was joined. Leather hangar is not original and shows abrasions and cracking overall. 2. Good. Blade shows some small bites along length with discolorations toward tip. Some drag lines visible on blade. Scabbard stitching is splitting. Leather is hardened with some abrasions. Brass mountings show some discolorations and spotted patina in addition to some dings. Wood core to scabbard shows chips and splitting to throat.
