.58 caliber, 40" barrel with V P and eagle on the left side at breech. Three-leaf rear barrel sight. Lockplate marked US Springfield and dated 1858. Iron patchbox. Walnut stock with three barrel bands. Condition: Barrel is grey with some pitting around the rear sight, percussion bolster and on the top of barrel. Lock and hammer are grey with salt and pepper pitting. Stock is fair to good with some nicks and dings. Bore will clean to good.
