.45-70 caliber, 22" round barrel with large V P and eagle, S/N 76082. Square shoulder breechblock with high arch and second markings. First type M1877 rear barrel sight; front band with stacking swivel. Early style lock with 1873 markings. Early buttplate with the keyhole cut and containing the original ramrod. Condition: Barrel, breechblock, receiver, lock have a nice even look with traces of original blue finish and patina mixing in. Stock has some nicks and dings. Bore is good.
