.45-70 cal., 32.5" barrel, S/N 290727. Walnut stock, trap door marked Model 1873. Condition: The metal surfaces on this rifle have turned a plum brown with a light coat of surface rust. The stock is very good with initials "C.F.S." and "173" carved in the right side. The bore is excellent with the exception of a 1" patch of pitting at the muzzle end.
