Buon esemplare, alcuni fascicoli uniformemente bruniti, piccole macchie al frontespizio. Legatura moderna in pergamena su piatti in cartone. Dorso liscio. Celebre opera, in sedici libri, del gesuita e poeta Jacques Vanière (1664-1739), detto il 'Virgilio francese'. La prima edizione apparve nel 1696, e il successo editoriale del Praedium rusticum - il cui titolo si richiama all'omonima opera di Charles Estienne - fu enorme, come attesta questa edizione settecentesca pubblicata a Basilea. Famous work, divided into sixteen books, by the Jesuit and poet Jacques Vanière (1664-1739), well-known as the 'French Virgilius'. The first edition of the Praedium rusticum appeared in 1696, and its success was enormous, as this 18-century edition of Basel attests.
