(Some minor spotting and soiling.) Contemporary Italian limp vellum. A description of the funeral proceedings of COSIMO II DE' MEDICI (1590-1621), Grand Duke of Tuscany from 1609-1621. Eight of the illustrations are of allegorical paintings by MATTIO INGOLI hanging in the Church of S.S. Giovanni e Paolo in which the service was held. The plate of the scene within the church is signed by FRANCESCO VALEGGIO. Cosimo II was succeeded by his oldest son, who reigned as Ferdinando II.
