This is a very unusual and early country store tobacco box with label. The box appears to have possibly been part of a larger display of tobacco. The label reads "The Clipper Extra Fine Chewing Tobacco" with a graphic of a clipper ship, made from Lynchburg, Virginia. There are some areas of paper loss to the label, some staining, scuffs and abrasions to the wood box. This is an extremely rare and early tobacco piece from the mid 1800's. Condition: (7.0).
