Whatman, ca.1780, comprising title, 6 pages of manuscript text with index, 6 pen and black ink and wash drawings of sections and views; with: Disegno d'un Arco Trionfale con due Orchestre per una serenata fatta nella Pubblica Piazza de Vicenza la notte 12 Novembre 1758 per la gloriosissima esaltazione alla dignita' Cardinalizia di Sua Eminenza Reverendissima Signor Antonio Marino Priuli vescovo della medesima città invenzione di Ottavio Bertotti Scamozzi , comprising title and 2 pen and ink and wash drawings. Contemporary Italian mottled sheep, ruled in blind around covers, spine with gilt ornaments (small wormholes). The triumphal arches designed for the Empress's entry into Vicenza were designed by Vicenzo Scamozzi (1552-1616), with the introductory epistle by Ludovico Roncone, who also wrote a letter and sonnet for the 1600 edition of Serlio's works. All the drawings in this album bear the initials of Ottavio Bertotti-Scamozzi (1719-1790) as copier or designer, and have the artist's initials 'GV'. The introduction ends with a note locating the original manuscript of the first work with Antonio Zago of Vicenza. Bertotti-Scamozzi's description of his triumphal arch was published in 1758 with 4 engraved plates (Cf. Berlin Kat. 3266).
