Victorian Cheroot Cutter , gilt plated and Tortoise shell sides , bearing the inscription ' OSCAR from the BOY ' 2" long Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) was known to smoke , indeed he even made the quote '"You must have a cigarette. A cigarette is the perfect type of a perfect pleasure. It is exquisite, and it leaves one unsatisfied. What more can one want?" Wilde also had a relationship with Lord Alfred Bruce Douglas (1870-1945), nicknamed Bosie, who was a British author, poet, translator, and political commentator, but was better known as the friend and lover of Oscar Wilde. Due to the youth of Lord Alfred he was often known as ' Boy '. Whilst no written provenence exists and the fact that the circumstances of finding do not answer any outstanding questions it would be wrong to ignore and not mention the inscription
